Pari Approved ("we," "our," the "App") reads food labels on your phone and explains them by published international standards. This policy explains what information the App handles, where it stays, and what is sent off your device.

What we collect
PariNest collects nothing through the App. Pari Approved works offline (the one exception, Google's text recognition, is described below). There is no account, sign-up, or login, and PariNest runs no server for the App. We never receive your photos, your scans, or anything you type.
What stays on your device
Label photos: the App reads the text in your photos on your device. Photos are never uploaded. They are deleted when you leave a scan's result, and saved scans never keep photos.
Saved scans: when you tap Save, the text read from the label and any corrections you make are stored in the App's private storage on your device. They are not backed up to the cloud and are not transferred to a new device. You can delete one or all saved scans in the App; uninstalling the App deletes them.
Settings: your App settings are stored only on your device.
Camera and photo access
Pari Approved requests camera access so you can photograph a food label, and lets you choose a label photo from your photo library. These are used only when you start a scan, and only to read the label.
Text recognition by Google ML Kit
To read label text, the App uses Google's ML Kit, which runs on your device. Your photos and the text read from them are not sent to Google. ML Kit may send Google limited technical information to keep it working and to improve it: device details (such as manufacturer, model and OS version), the App's name and version, performance and error measurements, and an identifier for this installation of the App. This does not identify you. Google sends it encrypted and states that it does not transfer it to third parties. See Google's ML Kit data disclosure.
Sharing
If you choose to share or export a report, the App hands it to the app you pick through your device's own share options (for example, email or a messaging app). That sharing is outside PariNest's control. The App does not share anything by itself.
No ads, no tracking
The App has no advertising and no analytics of its own, and does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not sell or share personal data.
Children's information
Pari Approved is not directed at children under 13. Because PariNest does not collect personal information from any user of the App, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Ratings are for awareness
Ratings follow published international standards (UK FSA, EU, WHO, Codex) for awareness. They are not a check against local food laws, and not medical advice.
Security
Your saved scans stay in the App's private storage on your device, so their security also depends on your device's own security (screen lock, OS updates, etc.).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
